About Zalora
ZALORA is an online fashion retailer with offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. Accessible fashion is the core of our business – we bring high street labels to Asia with the most convenient methods. We are also secretly tech geeks who love our numbers and codes as much as affordable fast-fashion. Our love for fashion and everything digital, coupled with our dedication to our customers, define everything that we do.
We recognise the importance of empowering the communities in which we operate. Through this programme, we hope to seek and nurture talent by providing greater exposure to the industry. The ZALORA Scholarship is a merit-based award that encourages innovative thinking. One student from each of these countries – Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam – will be offered a scholarship and the chance to gain valuable insights from the e-commerce industry.
"The Science of Fashion"
Is fashion just another art form? We think not. Science does influence fashion, oftentimes even enhancing the aesthetics. What lies beneath the eccentricity of Alexander McQueen's cocktail dresses? What gives Peter Pilotto's sleek creations their signature look? Science provides an answer to some of the most iconic designs in fashion history. Here at ZALORA, we appreciate the importance of science in design.
Using the title "The Science of Fashion", send us your interpretations of how Fashion is a Science. What do we look for in an entry? It should be compelling, exhibit creativity, portray the ZALORA brand, and bear relevance to the title. Take up the challenge today! Applications will open on 1 September 2015.
Need some inspiration on how you can illustrate your ideas? Check out our suggestions here. If you have another entry format you would like to use, send us an email at
