What is Hari Asyura?

Hari Asyura falls on the 10th day of Muharram, the first month in the Islamic calendar. It marks significant events in Islamic history, including the deliverance of Prophet Musa (Moses) a.s. from Pharaoh. It’s also the day Imam Hussein, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad SAW, was martyred in the Battle of Karbala.

This day is highly recommend for fasting, known as the Asyura fast, which carries great spiritual rewards. It serves as a meaningful way for followers to begin the Islamic year with devotion and reflection.
