F1 Singapore Grand Prix – Get Into Gear
Racing fanatics, rev your engines. The Singapore Grand Prix is back! Now into its sixth year, the event will take place at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
As it is the first ever F1 night race and the first street circuit in Asia, all eyes have been on the F1 Singapore since it started in 2008 as part of the FIA Formula One World Championship.
The timing of the event means European fans can witness the live broadcast, while the street circuit is made possible by the 1500 light projectors that lights up the track to four times as bright as a traditional sports stadium.
F1 Singapore Festivities
Set against a glitzy backdrop of modern architecture and cityscape, the competition will set hearts racing, especially with the star-studded line-up the organisers have planned to accompany the race.
K-pop group Big Bang will take to the Padang stage on 20 September (Friday), kick-starting a series of pop-rock acts including The Killers, Rihanna and Justin Bieber.
